Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! This website has been designed as a resource to keep you informed of what’s happening in my U.S. History classes. You’ll find weekly postings about what we’re studying, what the current homework is, dates of any upcoming quizzes or tests, and a copy of the course syllabus listing my policies. In addition, on the Powerpoints page students may download any slideshows of notes presented and discussed in class for viewing at home. Finally, as the year progresses, I will post information about high school programs on the High School Information page.
This week (Sept. 18 – 22) students ill be working on Chapters 1-3. They’ll discover how Native Americans adapted to and lived in different environments if North America. Then they’ll look at European explorers and colonizers and their impact on this continent.
Will C. Wood’s annual Back-to-School Night will be this Tuesday, September 19th (5:30 – 7:00 pm). This is an opportunity for parents to meet their child’s teachers. I hope to see you there.
Parents, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me by sending an email to me at email@example.com or giving me a call (395-5380 ext. 409128).
